Engineers, technical engineers, engineering graduates, marine mechanics, fishing industry mechanics, ship mechanics, Merchant Navy engine officers, teachers, students, and anyone else interested in learning how to carry out maintenance and diagnose faults in outboard engines
Requirements:
It is advisable to have a general understanding of internal combustion engines.

Methodology:
The course is delivered online via our virtual campus, in a convenient and flexible environment that eliminates the need for travel and the rigid timetables associated with face-to-face learning. It also features a range of communication tools that enable students to stay in touch with their tutors and fellow students, thereby ensuring effective learning and a high level of student engagement.
The assessment of course performance will be based on theoretical and practical tests, which will also be conducted online. Upon successful completion of the course, with a minimum grade of five, the relevant certificate of achievement will be issued.

Teachers

Carlos Rodriguez Vidal
Technical Naval Engineer, Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Master’s degree in Maritime Engineering and PhD from the University of A Coruña. Engine Officer in the Spanish Merchant Navy. He has extensive experience in mechanical design and structural analysis, gained at various engineering firms and technical offices. He has participated in various R&D&I research projects at the Galician Centre for Innovation and Services and at the University of A Coruña. He has published several books and technical articles in both national and international scientific journals. He is currently a lecturer on the professional module on the organisation of propulsion plant and auxiliary machinery maintenance on ships. + View CV.
